Here is a convenient annual maintenance checklist with our first time homeowners in mind as a guide for annual maintenance tasks. Take care of your new home, and it will be a sparkling castle for years to come.
Clean disposalClean vent hood filter
Check electrical cords, replace frayed or split
Check HVAC filter (replace if dirty)
Check all doors and locks and tighten screws
Check HVAC outside unit “ remove debris
Check fire extinguisher, replace if needed
Wash or vacuum curtains/window dressings
Clean out dishwasher drain bin
Clean vent hood filter
Vacuum HVAC air registers
Check smoke detectors(replace batteries if need)
Clean aerators on faucets, nozzles and drains
Check window weather stripping & operation
Clean window screens & wellss
Wash all windows, inside and out
Check HVAC outside unit “remove debris
Cabinets “ light coat of wax or lemon oil
Reseal tile grout, if needed
Test hot water heater pressure valve
Check air conditioner drainage pipes
Clean vent hood filter
Flush hot water heater and remove sediment
Check cabinet hinges for tightness & alignment
Check plumbing for leaks, tighten supply lines/valves
