Hoschton is located in Jackson County near Gainesville, Athens, and Atlanta. 2. Experience Road Atlanta 

In a short 12-minute drive from downtown Hoschton, you can find the thrill-seekers. Road Atlanta has been named one of the world’s best road courses. They host events that the whole family can enjoy in a kid-friendly environment. In fact, kids 12 and under are always free. It is a 12-turn course that attracts 400,000 visitors from all over the world. Spectator events include professional and amateur sports car and motorcycle races. Road Atlanta is home to Motul Petit Le Mans, Drift Atlanta presented by Bud Light Next, and The Mitty. Race fans or not if you are looking for some fun to do, Road Atlanta is calling your name.

3. Play at Reunion Golf Club 

For those who love to hit the greens, there is no shortage of opportunities to play golf in Hoschton. Luckily for its residents, they are near Reunion Golf Club, one of the most played courses in North Atlanta. You can join the club or book a tee time to participate, and you are in for a great golfing experience. It is an 18-hole course with stunning views. All playing levels can play this course, and have a day of active fun.

4. Explore Sells Mill Park 

Sells Mill Park is a wonderful place to take in the beauty of nature and unwind for a casual day. If interested, you can look at the mill that was still proudly running until the 1990’s. You can also appreciate a splash in the shoals of Indian Creek and a stroll on the walking trails. There are many picnic tables and a covered pavilion inviting you to pack a lunch and relax while the kids play on the playground. It is always nice to take a break from technology and the busy buzz of everyday life.

5. Have Tea at Fergusson’s on the Square 

Fulfill your tea party fantasies at Fergusson’s on the square. Tasty soups, salads, and sweets are made fresh daily and served in authentic China. It is a family-owned restaurant beautifully located in downtown Hoschton. They have successfully rewound time and created a charming environment where you can sit back and catch up with loved ones. Fergusson’s is truly the tearoom little girls’ dreams are made of.

6. Paint and Sip at Masterpiece Mixer’s Paint and Party Studio 

In Hoschton’s neighboring town, find where art meets social function. This studio is such a refreshing way to express your creative side and maybe learn a thing or two along the way. Teachers give step-by-step instructions so that you can take home a work of art that you love. The best part is that they encourage guests to bring a snack and beverages of choice to enjoy while painting along. All the art supplies are provided for you as well. It’s a fabulous way to bond with old friends or meet new people in the area.

7. Eat at Hoschton Cafe 

If you are looking for a taste of Southern comfort food and Southern hospitality, then Hoschton Cafe is the place to be. With mouth-watering dishes and friendly service, the cafe is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal.

8. Groove on at the Social Dances at City Square 

It’s time to dust off your dancing shoes and show off your moves. Every second Friday Epic First Dance and the City of Hoschton hold community dances at the Hoschton Community Center. For example this month they are hosting Latin Night, East Coast Swing, Ballroom Two Step, Country Two Step, and Ballroom. Lessons are included and some nights they spice it up with costumes, contests, and games.

9. Visit Hoschton’s Spring/ Fall Festival 

The city of Hoschton organizes a wonderful spring and fall festival annually. There are over 200 vendors, making the fall festival the largest festival in Jackson County. Within those vendors, there are assortments of food, crafts, face painting, and more. Festivals are a beautiful opportunity to support small/ local businesses and give them the recognition they deserve. It does not stop there. What kind of festival would it be without the live music to sit back and listen to, or the parade to cheer on down the street? I assure you they do not leave those categories unfulfilled. Each year during the Fall Festival a little bit of competition is stirred up in the world of BBQ. If you think you can take the heat, you can enter to win. Regardless of what you are looking for, visiting these festivals is something that you will surely not regret.

10. Shop Around Hoschton’s Downtown

Hoschton is home to many lovely boutiques and antique shops. The Vintage Peach Boutique, Pretty Petal’s and Pickin’s, and Provison’s Boutique are prime examples of local shopping. These boutiques have a trendy, southern style that makes you feel right at home in Georgia, and the antique shops have a spectacular selection of pieces that will add so much character to your home. You can find anything from clothing, furniture, and of course UGA football merchandise.
